Just a little FYI. I've found that it's useful to have some single ply lightweight cardboard around for mocking up sheet metal bits before cutting them out of stock.
An easy and free source of such material here in the US is Costco. Between the pallets of paper towels are 33"x39" sheets of gray cardboard they are happy to have you carry off. They are a good weight to work with and hold folds well. They are about 0.57 mm or about 0.02" thick. Other big box stores may also have such cardboard between their products.
