Texas BMW Plates

The dealers in CA got from the DMV the 123BMW, for example, blue plates for their customers. A member here has 999BMW that was on Joe Schneider's 2800CS, it became a parts car. Earlier this year I saw 998BMW, it was owned by a doctor in Newport Beach and was for sale. Erik Sliskovich has 888BMW on his 2002. Very rare but not able to be reregistered until the DMV changes the Year of Nanufacture program to include the blue series of plates. Too bad.

If you need a pair of generic blue plates I have a couple pairs.

Geez, I want a California plate !! No E9 is complete without one. I found out that the guy who owned Beach Auto in Toronto was too cheap to have plate covers made up. Struck out on two counts.

Quite a few coupe owners in CA have personalized plates with BMW, coupe or e9 in them. They became available in 70/71 when we had blue plates, initially six characters and then seven. Today's plates are white and you can't reregister blue plates on a vehicle, only the 69 and earlier plates if not in use.

I ordered a personalized plate five years ago, DMV sent the standard white plate. I had licenseplates.tv make me a blue plate with same configuration. Sadly, the DMV got after them and they won't make or sell CA plates anymore.

They were on the car when I bought it in 1989. Someone told me they are reflectors for a Schwinn bicycle.
