My second 2000cs, the first had a Tisa carbs , 300 cam ,anti reversion headers,245 5 speed , 3.0 cs rear sway bar, 20 mm front bar, 15 inch BBS with 205/60/15 1980, this one is a resto-mod, s54, 6 speed, e-28 suspension, brakes, abs, roll bar with front and rear kicker bars, been doing sheetmetal 4 months, rebuilt doors and skins, rockers quarters and front fenders, had to use 2800-3.0 sheetmetal, that's all there is from the father land, works fine, about 80%done with the metal work, all joints but welded, leaded, skim coat of bondo, less than a half of quart or less on entire car. the original drive train is going to be removed will for sale, the original seat also, and power back windows, plastic fixed going in. trying to get it down to 25-2600 lbs, 360 hp with evo e-prrom up date and custom headers and. center 635 mufflers, battery in trunk, small blow up spare.

I keep finding very shallow dents, you can not rush the prep if you want a paint job that is stunning ,It takes time, after I find all the imperfections in the sheet metal, the car gets a coat of etch primer and then build primer, and then hours of block sanding to get it arrow straight, the gaps are close, I am looking for a good door hinge, one is shot, the are all the same part 1965-75 allso looking for a E28 or e24 parts car, or parts

a guide coat of black paint to know where you are as you sand, and the long process of block sanding with a long board and block , you need to learn the technique to get a strait car, the dark etch primer should not be sanded though to bare metal, the other colors are spot putty and low spots
