I've been working on the bavaria and so far have installe the cs130 alternator wiring it to the bat no charge light in the instrument cluste, the lights are working including the highbeam flash, signals working and the emergency flasher sort of working think i'll need a emergency flasher switch. The tach wasnt working so i pulled the instrument cluster just to check the wiring and all was good so i traced it out to the engine bay with the aid of a wiring diagram. I found the black wire near the coil, connected it and now the tach works. I reinstalled the instrument cluster and just let me say, connecting the speedometer cable is no easy task. That accomplished I double checked the tach operation but when i turned the key to the full on position none of the tell tale lights came on as they had been before i removed the cluster. the only thing i did while i had the cluster out was to check one bulb to see if i have replacements. Any idea what i did to kill the tell tale light panel, no blown fuses and the engine still starts and runs, the tell tale lights just wont come on.

being a 40-year Bavaria owner, we used to add an additional ground to the cluster by tying it into the ground wire (brown) where it plugs into the cluster. This gives the cluster a better ground. let me know if this helps.
