Thought I'd show you my modification to the steering, when I first got the car one of the things that struck me was how many turns lock to lock the steering was, as I do a little bit of club race stuff I wanted something quicker, I just wasn't comfortable that I would be able to catch the car in a slide as it was.
Instead of a CSL steering box ( which aren't thick on the ground) I installed a steering quickener (1 to 1.5 ratio) I mounted this right up in the pedal box on a welded in bracket, you do have to cut the steering column for installation of this, it works a treat and really makes the steering nice when your on the move, it is however just a touch heavy when parking etc, I may modify the pump / pressure valves later to make it a bit easier ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342697610.974395.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1342697623.565745.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1342697637.139813.jpg

350 Diameter wheel, Sabelt triple spoke, Black Suede - to soak up the sweat of my hands :) I find woodern rim wheels to thin and slippery

Ah....that's why they created lace up leather driving gloves.

Gotta be prepared to own the look, however!
