My Weber conversion parts are almost complete. Does anyone have a source for a "rebuilt" tii booster. It is hard for me to spend alot of time and effort installing a used brake booster..

I have installed 2 or 3 used onese in the past, mostly as I believe there is no way to rebuild them. From what I'm told (and from my experience) they either work or they don't; no inbetween.

Unlike the tranny oil in new BMWs, these seem to truly be "lifetime" parts. (That said, yours will undoubtedly fail).

You can paint (but not powder coat) the exterior, if that makes you feel better......

I have had a tii booster rebuilt by an outfit in Stockton California:
Power Brakes 916 446-7829
They charged me $172 a couple of years ago.
Please don't tell them it is for a BMW coupe, that way the price will stay affordable for people like me.
Good luck
Pete

Dual booster

does the dual diaphragm booster used in some later bimmers have a usefully smaller OD?

sounds like it could supply the needed brake assist if the diameter will clear the manifold.
