I'm guessing that the deposits are from a 40 year old original engine with 90,000 miles. Anyone see anything else?

Luckily I broke the distributor wire and got to tinkering else I wouldn't have pulled these.

For an M30 running on 5 cylinders, the plugs look decent for their age.

Ha. There was one other plug but it was relatively clean and didn't add anything to the picture.

It had started dieseling a bit so I knew something was amiss in the plug department.

I went ahead and splurged on new wires, too. Figured if one was brittle enough to break and had green coppering then the rest were probably not too far behind. I think they were replaced in 2005 so it was time.

Hi, as the wires these days have built in resistors you might get stronger spark with plugs without resistance... For instance W7DC (w/o R)
Cheers
