I need tires for my Volvo C30.
All season would be best for my driving conditions.

In September, there was an article in the Roundel about Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tires. They gave them high praise.

Any other recommendations?

This is the "airport car, grocery getter"

Thanks

DD tires

Given your climate - as in you get real winter - I would view all season as three season and still invest in snows (on cheap steel rims) on all four corners November to May. A two year old all season is no better than a mediocre summer tire and who wants to drive on that in a snow storm. I would look at best tire for the money for snow tire and "three season" all season rather than a premium all season that claims to be the best at everything.

The good stuff - summer tires that is - belong on your e9.

My humble opinion (but based on a life time of our fine Canuckski winters)

+1... Even down in CT, we feel snows are important on my better half's CRV with 4WD on demand. Cycle them through the seasons. It's not like you're wasting cash as you're extending the life of your regular sneakers. For naysayers, I always ask- How much would you pay to NOT get in an accident?

Travel safe!

On the winter tire front, I find the Michelin X ice I3 to be excellent in the dry, snow and ice. Probably the best compromise of all the winter tires I have used over the years. Haven't ever had a bad Michelin product so far
I have never had an all season tire so can't help you there

Another +1 for separate snows on steelies (finally taking mine off this weekend in fact).

I even swap snows onto my Audi Q5 which is AWD. With snows it will go through anything.

Well,

The F1s are all season
I work from home except when I commute to the airport where the car sits.

If the roads are that bad, likely the flights are cancelled.

Stan,

When Goodyear introduced the Eagle F1 Asymmetric a couple of years ago they chose Seattle to do the event. Go figure, it never rains here, right? The event was at Pacific Raceways and the school I was working for at the time got the gig. I was in charge of the autocross course and before the journalists arrived we ran the cars (E92 328i) through the setup. It was pouring rain and the comparison tire was the Michelin Pilot Sport all season. The Goodyear was the better tire hands down.

I was really surprised as I have always found Michelins to be excellent. Satch was there representing the Roundel so he was probably the one who wrote the article.

i like the continental extreme contact dws. i have them on my son's jetta. they drive great for a DD
