Toolkit installation

Hi all
I purchased my 72 csi with the wrong trunk lid cards and no toolkit. I have since managed to find replacements and wanted to confirm how to install. Does the toolkit attach to the trunk lid card via nuts and bolts? Does it attach only to the trim cards and not to the trunk lid metal itself? Any guidance is much appreciated.

Suggest wide flat washers to support the thin, wimpy "tabs" with the screw holes. My upholsterer re-enforced behind the tabs with metal, and I still don't keep my tools in the tool kit. Terrific stress when you close the trunk with any force. And it requires a bit of force.

I bought a lovely blue wrap from someone on this site. Believe it came from an 850i. Not sure. Holds everything and some spare tools.
