This set is in almost new condition. Pliers and wrenches are solidly like new. I'd rate those as a 9.8 incase someone gets their magnifying glass out and finds the tiniest of dings. The screwdrivers do show some wear on the handles, Heyco branded, even the small screwdriver, which is very rare. $550 shipped. The Allen wrenches are 6, 8 and,10mm, Heyco branded. Also included is a new blue cloth and valve adjusting tool. If you want insurance, up to $499 $12 extra, Full amount over$499 will be $18 extra shipped via fedex. If no insurance I will ship priority mail. I also have another set but the screwdrivers are unbranded. There are some dings on the wrenches but all rust free, $500 without the Allen wrenches shipped CONUS

! set still available

Yes, they look the part and perform as the part, however they do not fit in the tray. (I'm not educating Chris on this and probably will never know something he doesn't regarding the coupe), just a heads up for the rest of you.

So...to me, not worth buying. At least the one I bought was too long and it was presented as if it was proper for the E9 (and this is also not directed towards Bert). I will measure the length and take a pic when I have a minute. But I'm sure it would still be good to have in the toolbag. My opinion on tools is you can never have too many!

EDIT: Here are the pics, looks like a 1/2" longer measuring in at 9-1/2". And also say, "Heyco Germany" not "W. Germany." I didn't get detailed photos when I bought so, still looking for the 9" W. Germany, big red screwdriver and the hex tools.

I have two original large pliers, both are 9 1/4” long and have the early engraving on the handle, unlike the later alligator style grips. Many of the later pliers just don’t collapse as tightly as the early ones causing them to stick out but yours sticks out a lot, pretty strange. First pic is my one prior owner 2800 parked in 1981, seconds pick shoes the early grip, third is my e9. None say Heyco or country of origin, only Chrom-Vandium.

I am fully aligned on @HB Chris here; the pliers in his pics have the small 'diamond' pattern, and the sides nicely shiny chrome: to me these are the only
original e9/e3 supplied ones.

-They fit like a glove in the tray.
-My quite original e9 came with one.
-An original 1973 e3 toolset i bought had one.
-The NOS spare set still in a sealed bag set from a member here had that one.

And I vaguely remember that the toolset depicted in the sales brochure has the diamond pattern as well.
