Hi all, first post here although I have cruised the site over the last years on occassion.
I have been looking for a good coupe for years, inspecting many and never finding the right car or the right price. I remain in the search but thought I would try another tactic!
Sometimes I like to swap my cars around to get a different feel. Thought maybe a coupe owner might enjoy a very different change in a straight up trade.
I have a highly modded (over $60k in mod reciepts) boxster that I would trade straight up for a really nice coupe. The car is very light as it is based on a 97 m.y. which is the lightest by far (ARound 2700 lbs).
The following modifications have been completed (with receipts and pictures) to the car.

All mechanical work was done at Autosport Engineering, 370 Hudson Rd, Stow, Ma, 01775. They are one of the formost Boxster tuners in the entire country and quite possibly the most experienced shop in N. A. with regard to the 3.4 liter 996 engine conversion.
All the body work and paint was done by Auotpaint RI, Inc.
47 Stamp Farm Rd, Cranston, RI 02921

CAar is super fast, styly and one of the most fun cars to drive I have ever owned. I have had it for 3 years and am feeling the desire for a change and thought I would see if anyone else is feeling that way.
I figure the car is worth $30 -32k so the coupe needs to be nice!
thanks, John

To be honest, this car is one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. A true monster in tighter road situations and about even with an e39 m5 in straight line(at least up to 100 or so).
It just that I have a couple of other really fun cars that are built for handling and speed and find that it seems a shame for this car to not be the pleasure of some enthusiasts garage.

I guess my only question would be: why would you want to trade, what looks like to be on hell of a porsche, for a 3.0 coupe? You've got twice the car in the Porsche. Nothing wrong with a 3.0 coupe, I've owned one, but IMHO the coupe is no match for your car.

Just my 2 cents worth!!!

Seriously Bob, my intention was to see if someone who had restored or had an especially nice original car was feeling like a change. Change is good, no?
Just to be clear, I am not going to trade this very special pcar for anything short of an equally nice CS or CSI.
Never hurts to ask!

That was a smart strategy, my daughter saw this thread and bookmarked it. I am worried that next business trip I take she may swap the coupe in my absence.

Maybe two coupes that are EXCEPTIONAL or an original CSL, that is also EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Don't get me wrong, the CS/CSI is a nice car. Don't see many good examples around but that doesn't necessarily mean big $$$$$$$.

Hmmmm it is temping. But to there are a lot of restrictions with putting convertables on the track. Which is where I would want to take that!
