Transmission lube

I need to top off my transmission. It only needs about 200 ml. It has been a long time since I added or changed the lube and don't remember what lube is suitable to use in there. The book says "Branded gear lube SAE80, no hypoid oil, or engine oils HD 30". It seems all gear lube oils can also be used as hypoid oil. SAE 80-90 is available but straight SAE 80 is not very common. It looks like HD 30 engine oil can be used but that does not seem to be a very common oil in stores. I have some Valvoline non-detergent SAE 30 oil, would that be suitable?

auto or manual? for manual I use 50/50 Redline MTL and 80 gear oil

Does the MTL make a big difference? I have a lazy synchro on 2nd, wondered if it would help to use MTL.
