White plastic ring/border is what holds the glass in, I had two complete sets of those and the plastic was horribly deteriorated on 3 of 4 of them. I traded them to Ben at LJI for a couple of flag mirrors. I'm not sure but I don't think that plastic is available. The rest of the assembly would be very similar to the flags I would imagine.

the real trick is how to compress the spring.

one of the cups fits into the mirror frame - the other one should go on the base first, then the brass cup and spring ... then my guess is the mirror frame w/ mounted cup ... then the washer + machine screw. then you get into the spring compression.

hmmm errrr ... Chris, you have large cup in there twice. i think you need to delete the one before mirror head. so does it look good enough for the e3?

Great! glad to actually help as opposed to sucking bandwidth:o

I see Jaymic and Autotiele still have the white gasket listed.

Autoteile has the mirror, but the pricing numbers are basically Greek to me.

And
This site has trapezoid mirrors for 100$, I had never heard of the guy before. Anyone? Glass doesn't look as blue as original. But the shape does.

I prefer the trap mirror to the flag.

Scott,

There are two large cups and both are needed, you only see the one that sits on the base.

Vintageautobahn is Hayes Neeley, Sooner's son, both on this site, buy with confidence!

i see, you were calling the brass cup the smaller cup ... of the two large cups, one is smaller than the other ... thats what i thought you meant ... just read it wrong.
