This picture is not of my Trim Panel but does show the bracket in the red box that i am questioning.
How is this attached and to what? Mine was bent like this and I thought it must be wrong as there was no way to tighten the screw.
Therefore I bend it back to 90 degrees. I can re-bend it if necessary. I don't see anything to attach it to and maybe it is for wire retention but how is the screw tightened?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Dan

My 1970 had a different panel than my 74, had to do with telescoping steering column. One had bracket on right side that connected to AC panel in center consule.

There is one farther forward that hangs down and attaches to the console. This one is closer to the Haz Switch.
Thx, Dan

I have a Euro 73 with no AC. That clip was there, I never found a reason for it, not intuitive how to attach to the center console. I left it alone. Panel is supported by the steering column, a clip further down holding it to the center console, a clip way down, behind the acc pedal and on the left, the screw that holds the pivot that the fuse box dash guide tracks on.

That is what I was hoping. The pic I posted was online and was like the way I found mine. I will ignore it.
Thanks,
Dan
