Scott has been adding dimension for us here:

The 3.0 pic is my Malaga car from several years ago, I either gave Scott some bad numbers or something got lost in translation. This shows 67mm to right trunk edge which would center the CS over the red taillight, that can’t be right. Height above bottom edge at 13mm and distance between 3.0 and CS at 20mm looks right as well but the CS badge is 99mm wide (I have old and new to compare) and not 106.

Can several members measure their badges in mm for me? Thanks

Chris, here are some other dimensions i have, but i thought i used the ones you gave me. but there is a big difference between the 20mm and the 14mm in between the 0 + c. i think i measured the new CS that i have, perhaps that is wrong.

i cannot find the original drawing to check. i found Don Bower's 2800cs pic as well as another 2800cs set of measurements. and there are some significant differences to Don's

i found the 2800cs dimensions from @Markos and they agreed with what i had from Don Bower. both disagree with the dimensions above (especially the 13.28). i will keep looking for the pic / dimensions from @HB Chris

i will gladly modify the dimensions to match whatever the group thinks it should be / most correct. as i remember, the dimension from the right edge of the 3 to the right edge of the 0 is about 4mm longer than the dimension of the CS. so please check those dimensions.

I can measure my 2800 CS badge placement. I understand it will take a long time because it is such a large badge that takes up a lot of room and it will be of absolutely no help to the 3.0 people.

Chris, please verify the dimensions on your 2800cs and let me know. my guess is they will be similar to the dimensions on the baikal pic. what we really need are dimensions of original mounted badges ... especially on cars with original paint.

to anybody with very original 3.0 cs and 3.0 csL cars - please take a picture and markup measurements on the pics and either post them here, or PM them to me.

@HB Chris - here is another photograph that i had ... i scaled it to match the dimensions i have for the 3.0 and the cs badges. i then took dimensions on the photograph and the dimension from the 'cs' to the edge of the trunk is 63mm ... which is less than the 68 on the photo with dimensions on green tape above.

Chris, one other thing - when i look at the pic of the Malaga badge, the space between the 3.0 and the CS is about the same as the dimension between the 3 and the 0 ... and your original dimension said 20mm - and the space is about the same as the space between the 3 and the 0 ... and what you can see is the difference in the spacing on the 2 different silver cars. my guess is that there might have been some difference in original installation or that when a car was painted at some time that it was changed ... seems odd to me, but it has to be one of the two and i would bet on different original installation.

Just mounted and i will measure. Bottom is 15 or 16mm, right side is 59 or 60mm, 3.0 to CS is 20mm. 1mm makes no difference and I think this is super close to what Malaga had. These are chromed metal badges btw, not the plastic ones.

Chris, measured along the bottom line, what is the dimension from the left side of the 3 to the right edge of the trunk? around 338 to 340mm?
here's the next question, is the bottom of the 3.0 aligned with the bottom of the CS?

my guess is that the left edge was probably pretty similar, the space between the 3.0 and CS varied ... which made the distance between the S and the right edge of the trunk vary.

send me a detail pic of yours and i will update the drawing for the FAQ since we know these are factory holes.

Both badges sit on the same level bottom line, 15 or 16mm above the edge. I didn’t measure total width as I don’t care or need that. Will send new pic tomorrow.

Measurements are different depending on where you measure: upper S and lower S as the trunk side narrows, also rear edge can vary. There is no one correct answer but these are very close and the badges aren’t arrow straight either compounding the issue.
