Trunk lid adjustment

Re-installing my trunk lid after re-paint, the lid needs to come forward at least an inch.

The adjustment seems to be played out, with no visible room for adjustment left on the bracket. Clearly I'm missing something.

Any ideas or suggestions??

Wow, the bracket only has 3/8 inch or so of movement, 1 inch doesn't seem possible. I can't see the lid itself, are there captured nuts in there that can move (I didn't think there were).
