trunk wheel covers

need trunk wheel covers for 1974 bmw 3.0 cs
they are arched as well as an extended trangler piece attached to the arch.
Can these be bought new or used?

the new ones available will fit all coupes EXCEPT USA 74+ models. the extra bracing for the bridge bumpers changes a lot in the 74+ USA models ... including the elephant skinned floorboard covers for the spare tire + gas tank.

i'm afraid you are stuck with trying to find decent used ones ... or gluing the old ones back together with patches ... then painting them. not an easy task with that brittle plastic.

In 5 yrs of looking, Ive only ever found 1 set for a 74. It crumbled when I tried to pick it up.

you guys with '74 usa models need to find a way to make a mold of a good one for each side and have some made ... while you still can.

Is there a flexible substance that could sprayed on then peeled off to make a mold?

Problem with that is you need a perfect set from which to make a model.
