I'm sorry that this car has appeared in a couple of spots but I didn't want to hijack a thread with a bunch of pictures so thought I would start one here.
1970 e9 2800CS Original color Tundra
Car is complete...But..
Does not run, engine is stuck. Previous owner said it was running when stopped (about 20 years ago).
4 Speed car- so all the parts are there for an easier 5-speed conversion.
Interior is complete, dash is perfect as is the wood all around.
All glass is good
Trunk is rust free.
No leaky sunroof!
Needs: someone with time and knowledge, a space to perform the restoration, a desire for punishment, possible mental issues, no significant other- or a good bit of $
This is what I can say for sure- besides that I don't want to really perform this operation.
This car will need at least outer and the center section of the rockers on both sides- probably best to do all 3 pieces and associated bits
The front fenders need to come off and the fender skirts and associated bits should be examined and will need some new sheet metal (there was some patchwork done at some time) on the left fender.
There is some rust behind the glove box, see pictures, but I've seen worse
I think the floors need patches- not replacements but that's up to the new owner (I hope).
There is no rust behind the seat so rear "torque boxes" are fine.
Once done it will need paint and outer rocker covers but I have all the trim in very good condition.
The price is 17K and I will pay for delivery on open carrier in the continental US
