While at the Misslewood Concours d' Elegance in Endicott MA, I was approached by a gentleman who said he has one ib very rough shape in Gloucester MA (my the ocean "The Perfect Storm" location) he was saying it is pretty rusty and opined that maybe the scrap yard was its likely destination.
I took his number and asked that he send some pictures. Perhaps some good parts could be salvaged or maybe it may be saved.

Stay posted.

How rusty is too rusty to restore?
John

I think that depends on what kind of spare parts you keep handy, and your threshold for personal or financial pain. :)

I remember when Stan found an earlier turkey carcass around ten years ago!
Wow, it has been that long!!
This one is not as nice.
The first one was running but very rusty.
This one appears to have damage and rust but the owner put duct tape along all of the seams, doors, sunroof etc.
I may need to drive down to Gloucester for a look

Markos.....do you have info on where I can get panels like that?

Thanks

They are NLA unfortunately. However, the bulk of the inner fender tends to survive. The uppermost portions are available from W&N.
