Would this be the right part for a 1973 E9? If so, I’ll buy it.
I believe this suits '73-76 E9, E3. But I have learned that over the years, parts get swapped around and what is in a 1973 now may not be what it was delivered with. Mike

This is for a 74 model year coupe with turn signal on the left. Looks beautifu.
Mike- after further research, this part will not fit my car. Part number shows it to be for a 11-73 to ‘74 build. My car is an early ‘73. I will not be buying after all. At least we now know. Cheers - Mike
Thank you to Chris for helping to define what car this later switch will fit. So, still available to anyone with a later Coupe who needs an excellent replacement switch. Mike
its also a good option for somebody who wants to move their turn signal to the opposite side ... more like traditional cars. i have toyed with this idea and have the switches to do it, just will require rewiring the switches to match the wiring in my car
