Has anyone seen this car? I'm interested in the sixer if someone wants the e9. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/3904548706.html
You are correct, it was for sale before and I included the link above. I included some pics of completed E9's in my craigslist ad because some people don't have the imagination of what the car would look like restored with the 16" Alpinas.Same combo for sale quite some time ago I think. Always love it when they show you what it could look like!
They are correct offset real Alpina wheels in ET11 and ET24. They should fit with no problems. I can take the Alpina wheels off the 635csi and put them on my E9 if we needed to verify fitment. Those Alpinas should fit just fine. The seller says they are staggered so I am assuming (you should verify) that they are 16*7 ET11 and 16*8 ET24
I agree, and I wouldn't do that if this were a true factory built Alpina. It is a tribute car, so a Euro 635csi with Alpina wheels and other suspension upgrades.Kinda a shame to do that Alpina in to make 1 E9.
I'd recommend the $16,000 asking price. Its a great deal for two hard to find BMW's .Anyone have a suggestion on what the six is worth? He didn't move them last year for 16K, so the market would say that's too high. If the coupe is worth 6-8 and the shark worth 3-4K, perhaps we can make a deal.
You are correct no Alpina VIN here, just a nice Alpina tribute car.Might have him confirm there is an Alpina VIN plate in engine bay and provide the number, otherwise it might just be an Alpina decal on outside.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I did have two offers for more than what your estimated value is last year for the E9. I was not going to split up the set at that time as I didn't have a buyer lined up for my 635csi.My humble opinion - the E9 coupe is not worth $6k to $8k if it's not running and needs an engine. $5k...maybe!
