UK E9 "Barnfind" up on ebay

no rust is difficult to believe when you can see that some pictures are taken with the car outside and a plastic cover in the floor, uk is still a pretty humid place, and i assume that the car has some miles in the odometer
but still the car looks good and 20k is not a crazy price tag
anyway it is a RHD,...and with the exciting vinyl covered roof !!!

my thoughts exactly. No such thing as a rust free car, even if unused for 20 years. Might be a solid car but will still require work I've no doubt. Might go and see it. I'll report what I find if I do.

de Q, interested in knowing how you are defining "exciting vinyl covered roof."

I'm currently looking at a car that also has a vinyl roof. It was installed by the dealer as the car arrived in the UK (as a way to make it more desirable) so to all intents and purpose is "original" which I love. If its the same for the car above, then I would also be excited that it is original, but not necessarily excited that it has it :)

Looks purty good. AT least engine-compartment-wise. And on the outside.

Of course, the devil is also on the underside/firewall.

Looks solid.

In the US we call that a garage, barns are bigger.

The most annoying thing about the roof (besides the looks) is that I always forget if the spelling is vynil or vinyl, so I would remove it.

Go for it!
