Anybody know of a source for GRP or similar protectors to fit inside the wheel arch (to try and protect them from mud spray, etc as much as possible). I heard of some sourced in the US a few years ago, for sale on eBay, but haven't found any myself. Jaymic in the UK had some GRP ones, but they weren't cheap and the freight was quite high due to their bulk.

The Volvo fender/wheel arch plastic liners from the 1980's are almost an exact fit but they do require some slight trimmings and modifications though.

There have been various write-ups on this subject throughout the years.
Here is one from this forum: http://www.e9coupe.com/tech/volvo_fender_liners.pdf

Have a set of NOS Volvo liners available. Bought it back in around 1990 but never got around to installing them. Willing to sell them for $50 US but the shipping to NZ is going to be way too expensive.

Suggest you get a set from your local Volvo dealer in New Zealand or Australia.

Here are a few pics on the Volvo liners.

click on the order tab and then select BMW. The coupe is located in the list. I just sent the guy an email though. He is really nice and shipped fast.
