i have a 72 3.0 right hand drive from England that had to replace floor and trunk panels. I really couldn't tell what was the OEM color or if there is any undercoating at that time. the body will be Riviera blue. like to know what was the undercarriage color or type of coating. thanks

undercoat

You may want to check for an unmolested portion of your car's underside and try to copy that as best you can. I like to use a paint-friendly undercoat so I can spray over it with gloss black which makes it easier to keep clean. If it's really clean and straight under there any color (black) should be OK. I think the "original" stuff is long gone so you'll have to experiment. After it's undercoated and dried you may want to try to find a gloss "putty" (instead of black) which is the original color of the undercoating to the best of my knowledge here in the US.

Good Luck-
