Understanding oil flow through the engine

I'm curious as to the oil flow path through the engine. Does it go from the sump, up through the pump, on to the oil filter, then to the crank shaft journals then to where? How does it get up to the cam? What is the full path?

Oil from oil pump is coming into the oil filter. After the filter oil is passed accross the engine.

This isn't an m30 engine, but I'd suspect the general idea is the same.
