Found this loose behind grill under the condenser. ~ 8” x 2”. Any ideas?

I’m not sure what it is, but it sure reminds me of laminate t-molding that one might find on the edge of a 2” thick desk or countertop.
I think that’s likely, but all the edges seemed pre-formed. At some point it was sealed across the top with Alex-type caulk, which makes me think it isn’t automotive, and you can see dripping down from there. I initially threw it in the trash. Thought again, as I’ve now learned the hard way to keep things I take off the car until I’m 100% sure it’s garbage. I have a dedicated “not sure” tub.
That part looks so darn familiar to me - but I can't place it. I feel like I should know exactly what that is. But I am also pretty sure I've forgotten more than I remember about these bits...
