I was thinking of sending my seats and rear armrest to these guys for upholstering with leather : http://cgi.ebay.de/NEUBEZUG-LEDERSI...3308?pt=Autoteile_Zubehör&hash=item3cb0ae08dc

The main reason is that my front seats are falling apart and I would prefer to upgrade to leather rather than redoing them in cloth.

Since I have a Sienna Coupe I was thinking about a fairly light brown / tan color.

I just have two questions :

- anyone have experience of those guys? Price is pretty good.

- when upgrading from normal cloth to leather do you replace anything else except the chairs and armrests?

Edit : since I have a -74 I would do horizontal pleats

Thanks,

Johan

e9 seats.

I looked at these guys but decided the hassle of getting my seats there and back made it a non starter.
If anything I suggest their price is very very competitive. I spoke to three other trimmers and no one could get anywhere near to their price. I am surprised as other aspects of the car restoration business in Germany tends to be quite expensive.
I am getting mine (horizontal pleats) done in the North of England. I have been to see them and inspected some of their work. Should be done by the end of the month.
Fingers crossed!

Thanks Simufly, I live pretty close to the German border so I can use their pick up / drop off service.

And yes, price is on the cheap side but my assumption is that they use cheap eastern Europe labor.

If what they did was crap there would be more negative comments on Ebay as they have been there for almost a year now.

Good luck with yours!

E9 seats.

I will be very pleased to hear your experiences, from my research the quality of the leather can vary alot and this will of course be reflected in the total price!

Thanks Aurel, always hard to interpret those.

For that price I would not look for 100% perfect work. But.... Hmm, we will see. Good to have that link as a reference for them saying I do not want that experience.
