Used bosch red coil, no clue if working

Is used, has rust on the outside.
Cannot state anything about its workings, if someone tells me how/if it could be tested im willing to try it out (i only have a voltmeter, does that get me anywhere?

For sure you can check primary and secondary resistance

Potential shorts at high voltage can be checked during operation on the engine.
