I took a look at it yesterday. Minimal rust. Needs paint and wood and .....In today's market it could be a $20k car. Nice project for someone who doesn't mind fixing up the cosmetics.
Seller was a nice guy who seemed reasonable.

I saw a "rust free" coupe for $8k coupe 2 weeks ago that makes this 17k coupe look like a junker. And it was also local in the Bay Area.

You can pick up in this condition in Europe for about half of that, FYI

Wow, a bunch of people bid on this car twice and it went up over $17K. I know that from time to time we see some ebay auctions where something looks fishy and it looks like "uncle bernie" is involved - bidding the car up artificially. But based on the number of bids and bidders (looks like 9) I don't think that happened this time.
