Valuation Help

I have decided to sell my 1972 3.0 CSA. I am having a tough time figuring valuation as they seem to be all over the map. Some history on the car. My dad bought it new in 1972 from T&T Auto in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Have original invoice, brochure in original envelope, and all records. It currently has 32,800 original miles. Tundra green with white interior. No sunroof or radio. Never winter driven and always garaged. It does have a couple of paint chips and a small dent on the roof and roof rail. All original, never molested. The only thing I have done is replace hoses and gas lines and the like. Can anyone help? Here are a couple of pics

Fantastic color combo!! A rare exterior color with an even rarer white interior. I'd buy it just for colors.

It looks really clean but maybe some more photos would help members give some pointers on value. Please send under hood photos, truck area, rockers, undercarriage.

Very simple, german cars depreciate to half their value in about 5 years. So if the car is 40 years old (8 times the 5 year cycle) it has depreciated by 2**8, so take the invoice price you have, divide by 256 and sell it to me.

Seriously, when you decide on price I may have a person shopping for a nice car.

The bad. The dents on the roof and rain rail. The dent in the roof is about 1/8" deep and 3" long. I have not had it fixed as I don't think anyone near where I live can do it right. I know that it is likely better for a buyer to see the actual damage and have the opportunity to fix it to their standards rather than speculate about a repair.

Recommend buying 3 spark plugs for the tool tray.

That dent can be removed by a paint-less dent removal guy. It would be worth pulling the headliner down to fix it from underneath, that way it doesn't need to be painted.

Unused 1972 BMW calendar with slip cover. Also have letter of welcome to BMW from the Western Canadian Distributor in Vancouver and maintenance and repair invoices.
Man I didn't know I had that much stuff. I also have 2 Bavaria brochures, a 2002/2002tii brochure and a 2800CS brochure.

Now we have more to work with, frankly the invoice and service records are more interesting than the brochures. 33k miles does not work without the corresponding story of why so little miles and the distribution of miles. 1-2k a year steady is great, 0 miles a year for a decade not so good.

From a baseline of a 25k$ rust free car I see:

+5k for great interior
- 4k for automatic
+ 1k for wood knob and red screwdrivers
- 3k for roof dent
+ 4k for first owner and traceable provenance
+ 5k for low miles if the story checks against receipts
+/- 1k for the color depending on the buyer taste
+/- 1k for no sunroof depending on buyer beliefs

Total = 33k +/- 2k with story, receipts, and sound mechanicals.

Arde, the reason so few miles is my Father only drove it when it was nice out. As he got older he would just drive it every once in a while when the weather was good and in winter would start it and warm it up and run through the gears in the garage. It was a dream car for him and he treated it that way. When my wife and I got it in 2000 we would just take it out for short hwy runs and infrequently drove it to work. The last two years it was started, warmed up and driven a few miles every month and put away for the winter.
