I have a 1972 RHD UK 3.0 CSL, 82K miles on the clock. I would describe it in good condition but not concours. I would like to know how much the value is for insurance and if I was to sell it, what sort of value are you looking for in the current market?

Thanks for any ideas, much appreciated

whatever someone's willing to pay. grundy ins. agreed value is $124s

John Castles news letter this month reckoned a city pack car (which I'm assuming yours is) to be worth between £35k for an ok car to £56k for an average car up to about £70k for a minter (I'm going from memory here but I think I'm right in my figures).

Lucas at 4Star classics is selling two at just under £50k though in my opinion these are not 'top examples' and believes, as I do, that £70k is where the top cars should be. LHD cars generally are pulling higher due to much wider markets. RHD particularly strong in NZ, Aus and Hong Kong.

Hope this helps.

Well, what to think?
