Valve stem seal question - don't think we got the right ones.

Are replacing head on a 2800cs. The head supposedly has the updated valve guides. But the seals we bought are too small.

Measuring the top of the valve guide where the seal goes is .425" which is roughly 10.8mm.

Here is a photo of three seals
The one on the left is what came is the gasket set. We think this is for the earlier valve guides on the original head. The top of those guides were we believe was 13.9mm. Part number for one seal is 11-34-1-261-269.

The center seal was an old one removed from our replacement head.

The one on the right is from a set we ordered from that is suppose to be the updated style, The part number ordered was 11-34-9-059-172. Obviously they are not going to fit. The OD is .482". The ID is .370".

The OD of the removed seal is .505, ID, the ID slightly less than .425 for a tight fit over guide sealing with the rubber inside.

The valve stems are .482" and the top openings of the new seals are much smaller than the removed seal. Can hardly fit the valve into the seal on the work bench.

Where can we get the correct seals? What is the part number?

Can anyone help with the correct item source?

While engines rebuild at first i also purchased the older type seals from W&N and after found out that guides where replaced with newer one.
I don't remember exact measurements, but i used Victor Reinz 70-25837-00

After some more searching we are thinking we got the wrong set. It looks like the set we got is for 7mm valves, ours are 8mm, which would explain the slightly smaller size than those that are being replaced.

Looks like we need

11-34-9-059-170

So back go the 11-34-9-059-172 set and will try the 11-34-9-059-170.

seems to be the correct part number for a set of 8mm valve stem seals to be used with the "updated" or "later style" valve guides for our M30 heads. Just received them today.
