The motorposrt stripes - are these available - on real oem it shows the front spoiler ones as NLA but the others being available. Awaiting a call back from the dealer but they are usually completely useless.

Karman plate - anyone know where to get these?

Also anyone out there got the new csl progressive springs and would like to comment on ride height and performance?

Any help greatky appreciated.

Regards,

Rohan

re. Motorsport stripes, i ve been looking into these myself.

Are you looking for Genuine BMW/OEM only?
If not, coupeguy has them for $600 a set and CSi Inc for $195.

Coupeguy's is way beyond my budget and I was not made confident enough about CSi Inc's product.

Hence I have comissioned a local sticker manufacturer to crank out a couple of sets for me.
If they turn out right, I will open it out to all.

When you say CSL progressive springs- it that an OEM BMW part or a you talking about the springs that are available from Carl at La Jolla?

I have Carl's spring set and ride height is just right. Where as before the front end was too high.. I don't feel an more stiffness than the stock spring I had and the ride is comfortable..

Hey Rohjay - let me know how it goes - Dan's stickers look like they would be very close to original and if so the price is fair.

BMW - I mean the original bmw csl progressive springs - I have Carl's ones on another csl and like them. I fancy the original springs for the bat though.

Hadn't thougtht of Jaymic but wonder how close to original their copies are. Do you have a set on yours?

Cheers,

Rohan

Not yet, but will be soon. That will be the final act of the restoration. The Jaymic stripes should be good, but you can sort of see them on their website under BMW CS parts, then CS Stickers & Decals...they do CSl, CS or CSi

Does anyone have the measurements for the stripes?
A local sign-writing will make them for me, but I would like to know the correct height of the narrow stripe and total height at the front of the door.
I will make a black stripe without the lettering, as my car is the "lesser" 2800cs.
If anyone could give me some data I would be glad :)

Has anyone tried the lowering springs from Jaymic ?

"....lesser 2800cs?!?"

I like to think: The first and original E9.

Drive it with pride! 8)
