Found this whilst surfing the net, and thought I would post it for those inclined to disassemble and repair their own clocks. Not sure whether I will do this, but if I do it won't be until after Monterrey.

I don't think that's what you think it is, but if the description fits your clock, lucky for you.

What IS there is a description of a clock in which a electromagnet activates (rewinds) a spring, not a fully electronic quartz crystal clock that many of us have, although quartz clock repair is discussed at the end of the page. Few of us without electronics credentials can successfully diagnose and fix a quartz clock, but as noted there are options.
