Howdy y'all!

I got a new job back in August all the way in Auburn Hills, MI. Given the winters up here, the coupe is still in GA, safe and sound. Now that spring is here, I'd like to get it up here so I can enjoy it. Given it is a ~14 hour drive, I really don't want to drive it if I can help it. Hence, I've been asking around for quotes to ship the car. Little did I know I would unwittingly unleash a barrage of phone calls for months with shipping quotes.

Given the wide range of costs involved, I wanted to get some feedback from actual coupe owners that may have shipped their car. Companies, covered/open, costs, experiences, that kind of thing would be greatly appreciated.

Bob Beverly has moved 10 coupes for me.
Just a great guy. Benji used him, Tim Wyman, Charles,
Long list of happy campers.

I've used Intercity multiple times. While they are considered a premium carrier, several of those times they were priced about the same as the cheap 3rd party brokers (when I gave them larger pickup and delivery windows).

We use them at work as well, and I'd say they do a better job than Passport/Fedex.

Very happy with Intercity and the care given to my prewar cars. They are shipping my 1914 KisselKar to Wisconsin this June for a KisselKar meet. If they can handle that a coupe is easy.

Bob shipped my car to Virginia from Austin when I bought it. My car arrived safe and sound, and as Don says, Bob is a great guy.

I used Bob Beverly to ship Nice E9 from CA to OH and it was perfect.

I have been trying to get hold of him to use again, but the number I have/had no longer is in service. If anyone has his number or a way to get hold of him, please let me know. I want to use him again, but haven't been able to.

That was a long time ago! Was it Columbus?
Look for my pm...

Don, can you please send me his contact number as well? I'm trying to get my coupe out to NorCal from Texas for the BMW anniversary meet during PB car week.

My storage provider in San Antonio just doubled my rent for the upcoming month, so I've recently put a higher priority on finally getting her out here!

Thanks Don! Rent went up from $65/mo. to $130/mo. for 2 cars (it's an older warehouse in an up and coming area that was decidedly not so nice just a few short years ago)

Any idea what range of pricing I will be looking at for enclosed transport from TX to CA with a completely open pickup/delivery window?

Intercity as well

I also used Intercity, to ship my dead Lotus when I bought it sight-unseen in Chicago. For enclosed, point-to-point, air-ride shipping (which I wanted with a dead fiberglass car), they had the best price. Their communication left a lot to be desired, but I would try them again.

Sounds like a steal to me, I'm paying ~200/month right now, up from ~100 originally for just one car space.

Don, would you mind sending Bob's info my way if he is willing to do the route? He certainly sounds like the way to go.
