Sorry to start a new thread in such a small issue, but I got a carpet kit from ebay and it's not too bad, jute has to be added to some pieces but if it holds up well it would be worth the 329.00. The question is; since this package came with no instructions does anyone know where these last two pieces go?

The Chinese do this on purpose just to drive us nuts. This is what I tell my wife after putting something together without reading the instruction and having left over parts:)

The picture they give you on the web is all bass-akwards, the middle piece does not face the way it goes in so the web picture is useless. The carpet is not that bad but I need to cover the rocker area alongside the seat slider everything else fits pretty well. I may have to enlist the help of some mind-altering substance to figure it out, but it might be easier if someone has done this before and would share the experience... :-)

IIRC the long piece runs along the side of the seat and the L shape part of it wraps around the base. Did you have another, but opposite piece? I can post a pic tomorrow. I think there is a post somewhere on the forum vis-à-vis where everything goes

good luck!

Hello George, yes, I have 2 of both and would love a shot of how they go. The sewn edges seem to overlap the unsewn pieces and it's just a bit of a puzzle because - as you know- everything has to fit just right or there will be clearance issues on everything. I think we'll be able to determine if this carpet is worth the $ once I have it installed and I'll post some pictures.

Thanks!

Peter,

Yes, those look like correct pieces. Some folks just leave them out. I'll check to see if I have any photos of their placement. As an earlier poster mentioned, the long piece wraps around the base at the front outer corners of the seat. The 'u' shaped goes along the inner rocker behind the front seat.

Ok, here are some photos which should clarify these pieces. The long one actually needs a hole so it can slip over the seat adjustment lever. The 'U' shaped piece is actually glued to the rear side rocker cover piece (alongside the rear footwell). It is tucked way under the front seat - and can probably just be left out.
