Very lovely 72 CS on Hemmings

just need to swap out that grille and replace the grab rail (I happen to have a real nice one too!) and you're golden.

Those spot welds OEM on that left inner fender?

Engine bay looks great to me.

Q: 72’s has the seat belt warning light on the dash?

Ps pump reservoir has a rare optional Alpina knob in place to the standard metric wing nut.

nice looking coupe, a few very minor nits ... but certainly looks to be worth the money.

front lug nuts don't match the rear ones. black wiper holders, looks like a dent in the center grille (could be a reflection). under the rear windshield - at the edge of the trunk opening - below the trunk gasket ... the silver is splotchy (probably shows up worse in photos than reality). spare tire well is dirty (why not clean it up better).

Nice looking car.

A couple comments/nits from the peanut gallery:

Interesting wood 'resto': deleted the speaker and removed the leather cover on flat dash tray.

Wondering if there would be any sun 'glare' from the horizontal polished tray? A thought: items stored on tray might make noise or scuff it up while sliding around during travel. I've found the tray extremely useful, so much so, it's annoying to get into modern cars with airbags and no place to put travel comforts (sunglasses, phones, wallets, curious, etc...)

As for the speaker removal, not that big of a deal for me personally, it's basically inaudible while enthusiastically under way. I deleted the door ashtrays when I restored my woodwork. Wouldn't want to smoke anyway in such a nice interior...

It has a Nardi shift nob match the wheel.. Matching the shift nob to the wheel is a neat detail. Nardi/Nardi, Alpina/Alpina, etc...

Again lovely example, I wouldn't kick it outta bed for eating crackers ;)

Hmm interesting.. Never heard of that before, is it really an Alpina piece? Any more details on that?
