Where is the vin located and does any one think it would be worth doing a car fax on a car like this?
The picture of number the seller sent me looks like its was near the fire wall. Also its seems very short. only 7 numbers with + on either sides.

That's the VIN, and doubtful carfax would be of any help. It's also on the engine block - on a pad near the transmission, search the site for exact locale. Also on top of the steeering column, visible through the windshield. Let me know the VIN and I can search the old registry records for you for any info.

Carfax does not recognize 7 digit VINs unfortunately.
