Anyone know the story behind this? Why would it be a V-8 Club? Clearly an E9.

LOL
I was thinking of bidding (getting?) this as a joke to put on the Coupe... But for the $$, I thought not...
Would be fun anyway....

I deleted what I said, to be honest I didn't really dig that deep on this and was just basing what I said off of what was said above. I just posted this to see if anyone knew the backstory on why the BMW V-8 Club would choose an E9 to put on a badge. Found it interesting because those things can't be cheap to produce.

I like these grill badges and have bought some vintage badges in the past without issue, usually same year as whatever car it was for. Heck it may have even been through this seller, I will have to check. Anyhow, now I almost want to buy it as it may be a rare gem of a collectible with what is clearly an E9 on the V-8 club badge. Can't be too many of them out there...you would think they would put a 502 or something on there.
