Tie Rods are about 150 each from GetBMWparts and on sale at W&N for about 80 each so would save even with shipping. I have fallen prey to choosing off brand parts and now strictly do dealer/Lemforder/Myele HD (though these are often no longer made in Germany). Does anyone know where W&N source such parts from, reliability etc?

Well, I can’t speak for the tie rods, I have the W&N ones and they look/feels ok, but I haven’t even put one mile on them yet.
But to say that all W&N parts is official BMW quality is a.. stretch.
But then again, not all of BMWs own parts reaches any kind of acceptable quality, so you just might be right that it’s all official BMW quality
Make damn sure you get the right ones...
