Hi guys
I am not there yet but at some time I will need to purchase a set of trim retaining screws and nuts for the waistline trim on my E9

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced source for them ?
I have seen a new set listed on walloth and nesch and they are €250 plus shipping
The price seems a little steep to me but if that’s the going rate for them then that’s fine. But if they happened to be available with good quality and a good price somewhere else then that would be even better.
Thanks.

Both the nuts and the tslot bolts are very specific, which makes them expensive. I have not seen alternatives.

FYI: There was some noise on this site about new bolts fitting in new trim.

years ago i bought some from Carl Nelson - i will try to dig them out of a trim box and post the name that is on the bag.

Speaking of Carl Nelson, I recall him having a plastic or nylon washer that should be used on all 45+ nuts to prevent damage to the paint under the BMW nuts.
Does anyone have the details on this idea?

The spacer or “paint savers“ go between the waistline trim and body of the car.
A Paul Cain invention. Get them while you can.
