I had two clocks, an earlier mechanical/electrical version that I fixed, and the later quartz clock. The latter actually seems to run using a small motor, geared down to turn the hands.
Trouble is, there are a pair of stacked plastic gears and the tiny tip of one, a bit so small I lost it in the nap of the towel I had laid over the kitchen table, is gone. I couldn't have used it anyway. The rest of the clock seems to work fine when powered.
Anyone want to donate a non-working VDO clock to the cause, and find out whether I can fix 'em?
