Hi Everybody, hope that someone in the forum can help me to find my car and maybe I can take it back to me I hope, this is the story.
For so long time I pass part of my time looking for a good 3.0 CS as the major part of the people of the forum this is my favorite car ever, when I finally I got my CS too many things come all together in my life and in one moment I have a lot of troubles to resolve one by one, so I took one of the worst decision on my life that was to sell the CS, maybe one of you will remember the car when I post it on the Forum board for sale and in the sale and trade forum too, I will try to put some pictures of the car here. I understand that this can be hard to find the car but no impossible and maybe one person in this Forum know where the car is now, if I never try to do this, I´ll never know if this work, I´m still watching my car pics and the movie that had and I missing a lot it, this car was very special to me, hope that this can help. :-(

So this is the car info:

BMW 3.0 CS Agave (Green) 1973
VIN: 2240808
California Plate: 5HHU874

I sold the car in San Rafael, CA, someone from LA buy it.

Well I leave my message here, and I´ll maintain alert to see what happen, hope that a miracle come.

Thanks johanaxelson I really hope that I have some luck finding my ex CS, as I try to explain the car was really special to me.

This is the feeling I don't want to get after I sold my dearest.
I guess you need to be 100% done with the car when selling it. I'm about 90% done. That's why I still have the car in the garage ;-)

Might be a little late. I think this is somewhere in Orange County.

Man, how did you get a hold of this photo? What are the odds the plate is sitting on the shelf? Are you the new owner? Was the car disassembeld for restoration?

Is that you Ben T? I know where that pic was taken I believe and left a voice mail for Jeff. A location in your profile would help.

Chris

This coupe is not for sale but undergoing a very high dollar restoration with significant engine mods. It also seems this story has another version and I am sure you can find another coupe to meet your needs.

Can he at least buy back the license plate?

Let's have the story or I will have to make one up.

Thanks for the all comments the story is turning excellent, as I can see the CS world is small in fact when I made my post on Friday I never believe that I could hear from that car again. like Stefan said I sell my darling or better I can say my precious, I had to take that decision because some economical troubles coming and i had too many things on my dish at the same time, and when we have the news of our second baby coming 6 months after that I bought the car, I have to put the family first place...now my life is going in front, troubles stay on the back, my kids growing healthy and I have a happy family now. But you know guys when you feel that you left something that your always want on the back something that you really like, we are Old Kids and we like toys, That´s CS was my own 40´s year old present, I born in 1970 and I grew up with a with a lot of desire for that BMW such I was kid the CS are my favorite car ever.
I visit this site from more than 4 years and now it give some responses this is like a clue game.
My ex CS are dissembling now thanks for the pictures Ben some tears going out believe me , but if the car are under restoration I hope that the people that are working on it make an excellent work and made the new owner happy, and left that CS like it´s glorious days and charming.
Well who know life is like a box of chocolate you never know what is coming next if somebody have contact with the actual owner and if for any reason he decided to leave the CS gone I really want to have the first option if the car are in restoration process now and the people that working on it is really good I can assume the rest of the process, so I hope that I can receive a PM message, let see what happen then, if nothing happen I will have to depart it and try to find another CS, but I´m still have to had one.
Best to everyone who follow my post,
El Doc

Hi.
I purchased your car from Jack Hunt Auto up in San Rafael a year and a half ago. You are right, it is a special car, and I hope that the work that we are currently putting into it makes it an even more special and rare car. As it seems you have heard through various responses to your inquiry, the project is going to be a very high performance full show car (hopefully completed in the next few months) and I hope to keep it for a very long time. I do however know quite a few people in the mix with these vehicles and I am sure that someone can help you find another car that meets your needs. If there is anything that I can do to help please let me know.
Best,
J

Any recent photos of the restoration? Would love to see the progress and the final product in a few months.
