Wanted : E3 Steel Wheel Trims & Hub Caps

I'm still convinced my E3 would look better on original steel wheels therefore my annual search for a good set of trims and caps is resurrected. I'm in the UK but need to spread the search as wide as possible. I still need to find wheels but there's no point if I can't find the shiny bits.
 
What happened to the first reply with the offer of trims ?. (It was a conversation not a reply.... .. I'm not up to speed yet)

Yes I know what you mean, they’re not the stylised ones that you normally see, but I believe that this type were fitted to base model 2500s in the UK. I just thought that they might be of interest to the person who posted the wanted thread.
 
I think I have a photo of the car on it's original wheels, let me see what style of trims it had. Thanks for the spot.
 
The flat caps are E3, the trim rings in the eBay ad are not BMW, no matter which market (UK, US, or other) they are aftermarket. That price in the eBay ad is ridiculous, don't even go there. A common ploy "back in the day" (80's) stateside was to use 14" Chevy rally wheel trim rings, when those got expensiver there were plenty of 14" aftermarket trim rings to choose from that looked the part for chevy wheels and we used them on E3 wheels. Myself, I didn't like the flat caps so I used the dome-caps from a 2000CS on the first E3 I refurbished, a '69 2800. With the wheels painted silver the stock steelies looked deep and (I think) fit the car's stance well. Here's a pic.

That does look good doesn't it. You're right about the ebay price, I'm not that desperate. I'll just need too wait until the car shows start up again and go around the autojumble stalls to see what I can find.
 
I . I have an original set of 4 wheels with 4 caps. Caps are in excellent condition. Wheels are very good, no cracks , bents or any damage. Wheels are 8 of of 10 condition .need to be cleaned up or re- finished for a 10 condition. I can be reached at 7034707773 or [email protected]. let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, would you be willing to sell only the caps ?, I think shipping wheels from the US might be expensive. Also, do you have the trim rings as well ?

I do not have the rings. The caps are in excellent condition. I was planning on selling them all together.let me figure the price for caps only & I will let you know.
