Water pump for 2800 cs

I haven't seen or heard of any major differences in the brands of M30 OEM water pump.

Try and avoid Chinese manufactured WP's bad results on the Porsche site (P928 water cooled) and Lasso is the preferred manufacturer; some of the WPs are plastic impellers and some are metal.

I am interested in what others have to say for vendors as I may replace mine in the spring during a refresh...still debating upgrading the fan et al.

I have seen plastic impeller M50 water pumps, but never a M30.

As time was a factor I went ahead and used a replacement with a plastic impeller. We will see. The plastic did look to be of a very high thinkness , so I will cros my fingers and hope.

I figure on 50,000 miles. Keep a spare in the trunk and assume nothing.
