Question asked if this was once owned by Elvis.
After he gained all the weight, it was too snug behing the wheel so they made a custom wheel!
And the reply I got was:

oh, yes, I have heard of these limited run steering wheels, the enchanted forest is none other than the forest in 'Lord of the Rings'... these wheels are very ... Precious ....

Laugh if you want, but there really was a Nardi Bililuro, and it really did have an odd-shaped steering wheel like that.
Why anyone would spend north of $5K for a reproduction of its steering wheel is a mystery to me, but there must be enough demand to justify making them. Seems like you'd be "grabbing air" when trying to park in a tight space!

I suppose if its going on the original race car that someone owns, 5k is cheap. Remember, there are still only a few that can afford what others dream about.....70s Porsche 911 advert.;-)
