a previous owner added this, perhaps for fog lights or ignition kill etc. If it doesn't do anyhting when pressed you'll have to trace the wiring.

Euro car has hazard, fog light in rear, rear window defrost.

Based on my euro car:

Green: Front Fog
Yellow: Rear Fog
Mystery metal switch: Rear Defrost or Window circuit breaker switch (highly unlikely but you never know)

The Red switch on your dashboard fascia should be the hazard.

All should be tested to see if they work & wiring diagrams + tracing connections should provide you with concrete answers.

Yes, that was my guess too - it looks like a momentary contact switch (like for a starter or perhaps a horn), not an "on-off" switch.

shopping

Ok. could be horn. One of the first parts I bought for my car was the contact for the slip ring on the steering column for the horn. I didn't actually know that I needed it, but having seen the part listed, I grabbed it knowing that sliding parts such as that tend to wear over the years and need to be renewed. When I got under there, I found that indeed, mine was bad and so it was nice to actually have at the part in hand.

For the metal button I have no idea... i pressed it nothing happens and roof remained on the car :)

Green and yellow nothing happens and I dont even have front fog lights...yellow I will wait till winter :)

And red has to be turned on in order to start the car that I know now when I was able to start the engine.
