As an addition to the Age thread currently on the forum, it seems that most of the members have other cars and just love cars in general.

I have had the inefficiency of owning and hanging on to cars that made no practical sense, but I don't really work that way for the most part.

One day Would like to have:
An E9 Coupe,
Lotus Elise
Alfa 1750 GTV
Porsche Carerra 2 or 993
Yamaha RD 350
Can Am 250
Corrado VR6
BMw 800 motorcycle as well as a modern Enduro like a KTM or WR250

Currently own:
1998 M3 Sedan stock , original 5 speed
2003 325 IT wagon with Sport package and 5 speed
1999 10th anniversay Miata with Supercharger
1966 Corvair 500 with 4 speed and Corsa mechanicals (since 1982)
2006 Acura MDX family hauler
21 Pound Kona Mountain Bike.

ALso , I am partly owned by a 1944 Avro Lancaster heavy bomber I have been helping restore for the last 5 years. I can pretend I am part owner of this amazing machine. The nicest of the bunch and rusty like an E9.

Well, what a thread this will be bob.......My wish list.
Audi quattro S1/2 (my brother owned a road going version, awsome cars)
850 alpina
porsche 959

current garage list,
73 cs
73 csl
88 325i manual baur convertable
92 Alpina B10 3.5 E34
95 540i E34
98 E36 318ise.
90 golf 4x4 G60 supercharged rallye.
77 mk1 ford escort RS1800.(in pieces)

Just sold an 86 M5 E28 (wish i had kept it now).
But i find when one has a decent car collection dating back to a teenage wish list, Does anyone else think that trying to pick one to sell is like trying to choose between your chrildren???

More than anything I'd love to have an Inka CSL. Secondly would be a vintage Ferrari - even a "poor man's" one like a late 60's GT but with 2 kids headed to college those are just a dream.

I've had:

'78 Triumph Spitfire (my first car and intro to the Prince of Darkness)
'73 3.0cs (the other one in my profile)
'70 Mustang conv
'71 Mustang conv
'69 442 conv
'70 442 conv
'67 911 soft rear window targa
'62 E Type roadster

I wouldn't want any of my previous ones in place of my current coupe and hopefully can keep mine till I can't drive a 4 speed any longer (and along the way add the CSL to keep it company in the garage).

Just Bimmers at the moment

the 2007 Z4 coupe. Loving it. Very unique styling, greta performance and extremely rare.

the 1987 535 Euro. Love it more! Not a huge fan of the federalized version but the euro cars are a thing of beauty. Simple, elegant, understated, aggressive. Plus it still has all of the german instrumentation on the interior and of course, the dirty 6 under the hood.

The 1973 3.0cs. My favorite of the bunch. Currently undergoing a bit of a facelift...

Before that was a 2004 Mazdaspeed RX-8. WOnderful car. Probably the best handling, best balanced sports car i've driven... but terribly underpowered. If they could squeeze 350 hp out of the rotary and achieve a reasnable mpg rating it would be hard to beat.

Before that was a 2000 Audi TT. Not much that can say about it that hasnt already been said or written since it was released in 1999. Landmark design.

keep em coming

Had:
'76 2002
'80 3201
'73 2002tii
'84 landcruiser
'95 Range Rover
'01 Range Rover

Have:
'73 2002tii
'73 CS ceylon, CSL Taiga
'72 CSL ceylon
'00 Merc G500
'97 Porsche Turbo S, '68 911S SWT, '05 Carrera GT, '11 Panamera Turbo

959, Dino, Daytona, 330 GTC, and the list goes on and on.

Way too long of list... The first one the comes to mind is a 1965 Riviera Gran Sport.

Hahaha, i was thinking if he needs a butler/chauffer!!

Good one...The turbo S, 68 911S and carerra gt i share with my best friend. we've known each other since about 2nd grade and eventually were med school roommates. Many nights planning our future garages. I've shared all the ferrari's, except the 456, with him...in fact, it was his 3.0 CS which got me excited about coupes! he had a nice polaris/navy that was really his dad's but became his. Anyway...the dream got us through many long nights of school and residency. Now we barely have time to drive them. Oh well. We live on the same street and bw us have room for 12 cars.

Funny, his coupe rusted out on him, since he drove it regularly here in utah, and so he's scarred and doesn't want another. We did almost buy that bmw museum BAT that sold at auction in Monaco. We were going back and forth by phone with another bidder and finally common sense took hold and we backed out.

Anyone coming through Utah let me know and we'll go for a drive. The carrera gt is unbelievable.

I have owned a few.... Some might consider interesting!

At a time during 1988-92 my garages had parked one next to the other:

1. 1965 427 Cobra (CSX 3127)
2. 1966 Ferrari 330GTS (9285)
3. 1973 Ferrari Dino Spyder (0642)
4. 1974 Ferrari Dino Spyder (8326)
5. 1972 Ferrari Daytona Cpe (15155)
6. 1962 Porsche 356B Roadster (83926)
7. 1958 Porsche Carrera Speedster (84912)
8. 1973 Porsche 911S Targa (911331)
9. 1972 Chevelle 454 Convertible
10. 1970 Challenger 383 Convertible
11. 1972 Hurst Olds (INDY Pace Car) Convertible
12. 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible (8T03R)
13. 1966 E-Type Jag
14. 1974 E-Type (V12) Jag
15. 1971 Mercedes 3.5 Convertible (Silver)
16. 1971 Mercedes 3.5 Convertible (Brown)

Plus a few more...

Currently I still have many of those same cars and my favorite as I grow older is my 2006 Mercedes SL65 AMG (V-12 Twin Turbo)... The car bone stock is OVER 600HP with 750Lbs of Torque! If I were to chip the car (which I would never do:rolleyes: ).. it could be over 700HP!!! The car accelerates to 100MPH faster then you can say 100MPH:mrgreen:....

My next addition is likely to be a motorcycle. Looking at the R60. Love the look.

Oh - I'm open to suggestions. ;)

My other car has wings

The most recent of 15+ years' worth of race cars. But the NEXT one is going to be a Group 2 CSL!
