I have a 1973 3.0 CSI D jetronic ECU from a UK car sitting on my garage shelf. I don't think I will be using it in the future.

What is the going rate for one of these? part number 0 280 001 007

That seems about right. They cost $400 to be rebuilt. I think your target buyer is a nice CSI/CSL owner who wants a d-jet insurance policy. I just sold my entire d-jet setup minus fuel pump and distributor for what amounted to $800. That is a good compared to pricing out the parts individually.
