This sad photo pretty much sums it all up.

Oh my!

Not helping to shake the E9's rust stigma if it even happens to it's keys...

Don't worry, no coupes were harmed. But where the heck does someone keep their keys that this is the result? Unbelievable.

Hmm, I think I see some sort of award coming in the future, stay tuned.

Everybody knows about the E9 that sunk with the Titanic.

keyroding

Wait a minute........Isn't "Rusty Keys" an old comedian in the Pocono's? Maybe I'm thinking of "Rusty Trombone".

I seem to remember "Rusty Jones" a rust prevention process offered by Chrysler? dealers. There was a red headed cartoon character in a plaid shirt with a kind of cowboy look. Or maybe he was shilling for BMW CS dealers.
Is my memory playing tricks? Steve

I had the Rusty Jones treatment done on my 1977 320i
I left that car in Orange County CA. It is probably still running!

I remember Rusty; included with my first car, a Subaru hatchback...

It didn't take too long for the cash going out to fix repairs to exceed the cash coming in from new buyers so Rusty went out of business. Probably two years after their first Coupe owners bought the plan.
